A Lentiles Field Defended

2 Samuel 23:11-12  And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines. But he stood in the middle of the field, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD brought about a great victory.

          Shammah was a great man, for he defended a field of lentiles.  The Philistines were a people who were almost constantly at war with the Israelites.  God brought great victories against the enemies, and sometimes He even used the enemies of Isreal to punish them for their sin.  This shows how God is in control of everything in our daily lives.  I know that God will bring circumstances into our live to help us to grow in faith.  He also will bring great victories in your life over sin and temptations.  I pray that God will bless you all!
